SHARPSBURG YOUTH BASEBALL (SYB)
Welcome to Sharpsburg Youth Baseball website
Sharpsburg Youth Baseball (SYB) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Sharpsburg Youth Baseball (SYB) is operated by volunteers supporting programs for competitive and non-competitive play for boys and girls living in Coweta and surrounding counties.
It is the policy of Sharpsburg Youth Baseball (SYB) that no child shall be denied the opportunity to participate due to race, political or religious beliefs, national origin, or gender.
Sharpsburg Youth Baseball (SYB) provides the opportunity for youth between the ages of three (3) to fourteen (14) to participate in organized baseball. We are dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the game, within a structure that provides playing time for as many players as possible, while emphasizing good sportsmanship, fair play and fun at all times.
Our spring season runs from approximately the end of March through the middle of June, excluding preseason practices and post season tournament play. Registration for the spring season generally occurs in late January. Team practices begin in mid February.
Our fall season runs from approximately the first of September through the end of October. Registration for the fall season generally occurs in early August.
Parents must take some initiative to make our local program successful. SHARPSBURG YOUTH BASEBALL is not a club that implies baby–sitting benefits and entertainment privileges. Practically speaking, Youth Baseball is an adult work project constructed, supervised, and assisted by parents who want to extend this benefit to their children. The parent who shirks this responsibility cannot, in turn, expect others to assume the burden.
