Sharpsburg Youth Baseball (SYB) is a 501(C)3 charitable organization. SYB is operated by volunteers supporting programs for competitive and non-competitive play for boys and girls living in Coweta and surrounding counties. 

It is the policy of the league that no child shall be denied the opportunity to participate due to race, political or religious beliefs, national origin or gender. 

Sharpsburg Youth Baseball provides the opportunity for youth between the ages of three (3) to eighteen (18) to participate in organized baseball. We are dedicated to teaching the fundamental of the game, within a structure that provides playing time for as many players as possible, while  emphasizing good sportsmanship, fair play and fun at all times. 

Spring Season:  Runs from approximately the middle of March through the end of May, excluding pre-season practices and post season tournament play. Registration for the spring season generally occurs in early January, team practices begin in early February. 

Fall Season: Runs from approximately the first of September through the end of October. Registration for the fall season generally occurs in early August.

Parent involvement with the league is a requirement for everyone if we want our program to be successful. SHARPSBURG YOUTH BASEBALL exists to provide the players of the league a place and an opportunity to participate in the game of youth baseball.  We expect the parent(s) to remain onsite with their children during games and practices and also expect them to maintain direct line of site with their other children if they are also in attendance.  Our League is the most successful when we have parents engaged fully with the league helping as much as possible so we can all extend this benefit to the children.  It should not be expected that the burden of running a successful league for so many fall upon the shoulders of a few volunteers.
